Jeremy Hunt fled a GB News reporter on a bicycle after being quizzed over comments he allegedly made about how to handle the Covid-19 pandemic. The reporter wanted Hunt’s response to Nadine Dorries’ claims about him and how he thought the government should have imposed lockdowns. However, the Tory MP ignored the reporter and left.
Wootton presented: “Culture Secretary Nadine Dorries has made a highly credible allegation that when she was Health Secretary Hunt phoned her in defense of the Government. [taken on the] China’s approach to Covid of removing people who test positive for the virus from their own homes and locking them in government facilities.
“No one tried to question Hunt about his bossy tendencies, so I sent my producer Ben Leo to see if Hunt had the balls to respond directly to the accusations.”
In the footage, Ben approached Hunt and said, “Hello Jeremy Ben from The Dan Wootton Show on GB News.
“Was Nadine Dorries right when she said you wanted to get people out of their homes and put them in isolation hotels during Covid and why did you think the public would tolerate that?

“Having been given the confidence of power, Tory MPs know in our hearts that we are not giving the British people the leadership they deserve. We are not providing the integrity, skill and vision to unleash the enormous potential of our country.
“And because the electorate, who also know it, no longer trust us, we are about to lose the next general election.
“Anyone who believes our country is stronger, fairer and more prosperous when led by conservatives should consider that the consequence of not changing will be giving the country away to others who don’t share those values. The decision today is change or lose. I will be voting for change.”
The Culture Secretary responded by saying: ‘On the afternoon of July 23, 2020, when I was Minister of Health, you telephoned me to tell me that we must manage the pandemic by following the example given by the East / China. That those testing + be removed from their homes and placed in isolation hotels for two weeks.
“You said your wife’s family experienced this during SARS. I said Brits would never tolerate being removed from their homes and loved ones, at which point you demanded that I shows you the evidence for this Your handling of the pandemic would have been a disaster.
“Your pandemic preparedness for six years as Health Secretary has been deemed insufficient and inadequate. Your duplicity at this time to destabilize the party and the country to serve your own personal ambition, more so.
“You told others that the Prime Minister and the government would quickly collapse because of Brexit and that you would rush.
“You told me as much in Victoria St after GE. If you had been leader, you would have handed the keys to No10 to Corbyn. You were wrong about almost everything, you are still wrong now.” (sic)
