FEBRUARY 25, 2022

Deputies received a call about criminal mischief at Akron Pond. One or more unknown vehicles drove through an area where grass had been planted between two roads. The case is under investigation.

FEBRUARY 26, 2022

Deputies were sent to an unattended death in the 47000 block of Highway 34. The Washington County coroner took over the scene.

FEBRUARY 27, 2022

Deputies were dispatched to a women’s party who refused to get into her grandfather’s vehicle. The grandfather suspected that she was taking methamphetamine. After deputies arrived at the scene, the female party was transported to a local hospital by ambulance.

Deputies were dispatched from a traffic accident on Highway 34, three miles west of Akron. The Colorado State Patrol arrived and took control of the scene.

FEBRUARY 28, 2022

Deputies received a report of vandalism in the 100 block of Weld in the town of Otis. Upon further investigation, it was determined that a vehicle had been swept away. The case is under investigation.

Deputies received a report from a citizen who had received unsolicited texts and photos. The case is under investigation.

March 1, 2022

Deputies responded to the 800 block of Grand Avenue for a suspicious party report. Upon arriving at the scene, deputies observed a man in the storage unit. The party was informed that they could not stay in the storage unit.

Deputies found several items at the Akron Pound that appeared to have been left there. The case is under investigation.

March 2, 2022

Deputies were dispatched to a juvenile incident at Otis School. When deputies arrived at the scene, they spoke with the minor and his guardians about the incident.

March 3, 2022

Deputies were sent to an animal complaint in the 500 block of Cedar Avenue in the city of Akron. MEPs have spoken to the parties concerned to ensure that a similar incident does not happen again.

Deputies have been notified of vandalism that occurred in the 700 block of Elm Avenue in the city of Akron. When deputies arrived at the scene, they found that the rear window of a parked car had been destroyed. The case is under investigation.
