A Texas Television journalist became the subject of a conspiracy theory after a news station made a typo, reports My San Antonio.

Brandon Walker, a reporter for KPRC 2 in Houston, was featured on a sister station in Buffalo, New York. A CBS-affiliated news station in Orlando mistakenly aired a banner stating that Walker’s name was “Walker Grahamwhile reporting from Buffalo. Apparently the story was tagged with the reporter’s last name and Graham Media Group, owner of WKMG News 6.

So what was the viral conspiracy theory?

A Twitter user posted side-by-side photos of the two news stations with different names. The user wrote, “So he just got two different names per news station? One day people, one day you’ll understand why people like me question EVERYTHING.”

The tweet earned over 60,000 likes, 10,000 retweets and hundreds of replies, including one from Walker himself.

Walker replied, “Ha! Wow. I missed that. Yeah, it looks like my colleagues at a sister station don’t know my name. Brandon Walker, right. in Houston, KPRC2; however, I have filed reports for our sister stations in other cities.”

One user replied, “You’re not crazy. When I was in graphic design school, we spent two weeks studying TV news. Everything is intentional, from the titles to the colors. Keep questioning yourself! ” Another answer says it’s “good to be skeptical”.

Others question the logic saying it was a simple mistake. One user wrote, “Why was that his first thought rather than an editing error?”
